Chris Kiffin reportedly leaving Ole Miss only weeks after joining brother Lane's staff
Chris Kiffin’s tenure at Ole Miss under his brother, Lane Kiffin, will only be remembered for its brevity, it seems.
After being hired as the Rebels’ co-defensive coordinator last month, Chris is reportedly heading back to the NFL ranks.
Per ESPN’s Chris Low, Kiffin is accepting a job with the Cleveland Browns for the 2022 season:
Chris Kiffin is leaving @OleMissFB to return to coach in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns, sources tell ESPN. Kiffin joined his brother @Lane_Kiffin last month as the Rebels’ co-defensive coordinator, but had a change of heart and decided to get back into the NFL.

Chris Kiffin spent the 2020 and 2021 seasons as part of Kevin Stefanski’s staff in Cleveland, coaching the defensive line. It remains to be seen whether that’s the same position he accepts this time around or not.
Kiffin spent the 2012 to 2016 seasons as Ole Miss’s defensive line coach. He also worked under Lane at Florida Atlantic in 2017.
