Matt Luke’s program is heating up on the recruiting trail as Alabama native DaMarcus Thomas just became the third prospect to pledge to Ole Miss’ 2020 recruiting class this week. If you missed the news on Wednesday, unranked Mississippi athlete An’Darius Coffey also pledged to Ole Miss and four-star lineman Josaih Hayes started the program’s recent momentum swing four days ago.

The 6-foot-2, 228-pound Thomas hails from Saraland High School in Saraland, Ala., and picked Ole Miss over scholarship offers to Army, Southern Miss, South Alabama and Louisiana. 247Sports Composite Rankings list Thomas as a three-star tight end and the nation’s No. 65 tight end prospect.

His commitment gives Ole Miss eight pledges for the 2020 recruiting cycle. Thomas made the news official with the following comment.

“First I wanna thank the man above for this opportunity, my parents and my coaches. I have put a lot of thought into this. I prayed and prayed that this day would come. I am happy to announce that I am 110% committed to The University of Mississippi”

Following news of Thomas’ commitment, here’s an updated look at the class Matt Luke and his staff have assembled in the current recruiting cycle:
