Dayton Wade is letting the sun set on his college football career as he heads on to the NFL.

Wade’s last game in an Ole Miss uniform was the Peach Bowl with the Rebels beating Penn State 38-25. Wade ended up in Oxford after transferring from Western Kentucky in the 2022 offseason. He finished 2nd on the team this season with 830 receiving yards.

Here’s what the wideout had to about the decision:

“First and foremost I would like to thank God, my family, TopShelfPerformance, ADAPT Physical Fitness & Therapy, Coach Kiffin and the entire coaching and support staff, and everyone that has played a role in this journey,” Wade wrote on social media. “With that being said, I’ll be foregoing my final year of eligibility and declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft. Thank you Rebel Nation.”

The Rebels made history this season under Lane Kiffin. With the Peach Bowl win, it was the 1st win in program history that the football program has finished a season with 11 wins. Wade caught 3 passes for 61 yards receiving in the win over the Nittany Lions.

Ole Miss fans were treated to some good news on Monday, however. Jaxson Dart will be back for another season with the Rebels. Leading wideout Tre Harris announced that he’ll be back in 2024 as well.
