Jaxson Dart has made it official. He’s running it back in 2024.

The Ole Miss quarterback took to Instagram on New Year’s Day to share that he is coming back for another season in Oxford. Lane Kiffin had previously stated Dart would be back, only for Dart to say a final decision had not been made.

Dart had a stellar 2023 season, his second year at Ole Miss after transferring from USC. Leading Ole Miss to 11 wins for the first time in program history, Dart was 233-of-358 passing (65.1% complete) for 3,364 yards, 23 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions. Dart also rushed 119 times for 389 yards and 8 scores.

Dart’s decision comes as Ole Miss is getting College Football Playoff buzz for 2024. The Rebels came in at No. 11 in the final CFP rankings for 2023 with a 10-2 record, before a Peach Bowl thumping of No. 10 Penn State. Kiffin’s squad will likely finish in the top 10 of the post-bowl AP Top 25.

As the CFP expands to 12 teams in 2024, Ole Miss is set to have one of the top rosters. Kiffin and his staff have attacked the transfer portal, bringing in numerous experienced players. Dart and Co. should be fun to watch in 2024.
