Lane Kiffin is adding to his Ole Miss staff.

Marquis Watson, defensive line coach and run game coordinator at FCS program Bryant University, announced he is heading to Ole Miss, posting a lengthy note on his Twitter account:

In his tweet with the note screenshots, Bryant tagged six Twitter accounts, including Ole Miss Football’s official account and Rebels co-defensive coordinator Chris Partridge. FootballScoop mentions that Partridge is a mentor to Watson, having coached him at Paramus Catholic.

Watson graduated from Bryant in 2017 as the program’s all-time leading tackler. He was a defensive assistant for Rutgers in 2018 and returned to his alma mater as the team’s defensive line coach for the 2019 season.

With the hire not yet announced, Bryant’s title has not yet been revealed. Kiffin’s coaching staff has an opening for the on-field defensive line coaching position with Freddie Roach having recently left for Alabama.
