Denver Broncos QB Case Keenum discusses team's decision to release Chad Kelly
Former Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly was arrested this week for first-degree trespassing following a Denver Broncos’ team Halloween party.
The Broncos decided to release the former Mr. Irrelevant after the arrest, giving him the dubious distinction of being kicked off a high school team, college team and now and NFL team.
On Wednesday, current Denver starter Case Keenum said he’ll miss Kelly, adding that he wishes Kelly the best moving forward:
#Broncos QB Case Keenum: “It's tough. Obviously disappointing. Chad's a really good friend. We spent a lot of time in the meeting room…I wish him the best & hope everything works out. I think he will bounce back & be stronger from it."

If Kelly does bounce back from this arrest, it won’t be in Denver, as he is now on the lookout for a new NFL home.
There are plenty of quarterback-needy teams out there, though, so it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him back in the league at some point.
