ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky is high on Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart as the pre-draft process marches on.

Dart is considered to be a quality QB prospect in the 2025 NFL Draft, but he’s not widely-regarded as a 1st-round pick. Orlovsky disagrees with that sentiment. He’s seen enough of Dart during his pre-draft research — he believes Dart will end up as a 1st-round pick:

Dart exits Ole Miss as arguably the top quarterback in program history. He led the Rebels to back-to-back 10-win seasons over the past couple of years and is the program’s all-time leader in career passing yards. He also set Ole Miss’ single-season passing yardage record in 2024 with 4,279 yards on the campaign.

Ole Miss has not produced a 1st-round draft pick at any position since Evan Engram in 2017. No Ole Miss quarterback has gone in the first round since the great Eli Manning did so way back in 2004. His father, Archie Manning, is the only other Ole Miss quarterback to be selected in the 1st round (1971).

There’s still a long way to go before the NFL Draft begins in late April, but it seems Dart’s draft stock is trending in a positive direction.
