Former Ole Miss DB Jon Haynes transfers to Big Ten school

Earlier this month, Ole Miss DB Jon Haynes entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Haynes started at strong safety for the Rebels in 2019 and 2020, recording 86 total tackles and 2 interceptions. he also broke up 3 passes.

Now, the former Rebel has chosen a new team to play for in 2021. As you can see below, Haynes is off to the Big Ten, as Indiana officially welcomed him to the program via Twitter on Thursday:

Haynes will join a Hoosier program that is resurgent under head coach Tom Allen and has appeared in some impressive bowl games recently.

Interestingly, Haynes and the Rebels beat Indiana in the Outback Bowl following the 2020 season.
