Earnhardt receives autographed gift from Freeze, Ole Miss

The Ole Miss Rebels may have a new high-profile fan in their corner this season.

Rebels’ equipment manager Ken Crain sent a gift to NASCAR superstar Dale Earnhardt Jr. with a personal message from Rebels’ coach Hugh Freeze. Earnhardt tweeted a photo of the gift Thursday:

Freeze’s message on the helmet reads “Rebs pull for the No. 88” (a reference to Earnhardt’s car on NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series).

Beyond collecting helmets, Earnhardt is a notorious football fan who may return the favor by rooting for Freeze’s bunch going forward.
