By now, everyone who follows Ole Miss is tired of the ongoing NCAA investigation, including head coach Hugh Freeze. For over a year, the program has been shrouded in uncertainty and the effects have been apparent on the recruiting trail.

The Rebels’ 2017 recruiting class finished ranked 12th among all SEC programs, according to the 247Sports Composite Ranking, which was a big dropoff from their 2016 class that was ranked third in the conference.

With things still up in the air, Ole Miss hasn’t been strong out of the gate with the Class of 2018. It did get some good news on Wednesday, however, when defensive tackle prospect Israel Antwine became the third 2018 prospect to commit to the Rebels.

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound defensive lineman was an All-State selection for the 2016 season, helping Millwood High School roll to an undefeated season and the Oklahoma Class 2A state championship. Antwine recorded 69 tackles and six sacks as a junior last season, but he does not currently have a rating on the 247Sports Composite.
