Ole Miss is staying hot on the recruiting trail. After picking up commitments from two transfers and 4-star RB Henry Parrish, the latest Rebels pledge comes from a prospect with a household last name.

4-star DE Demon Clowney, cousin of former South Carolina standout Jadeveon Clowney, committed to Ole Miss on Monday night, first reported by Bleacher Report’s Adam Kramer. The pledge comes after Clowney spent the weekend in Oxford on an official visit to Ole Miss.

A Baltimore native, Clowney is listed at 6-4, 225 pounds and rated the No. 7 Maryland product, No. 8 weak-side defensive end and No. 135 prospect overall nationally for the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite. Clowney picked up 15 scholarship offers, including Clemson, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Ole Miss signed 12 recruits during the Early Signing Period and the Rebels now have 7 verbal commitments plus 2 recent transfers.
