Lane Kiffin shares personal comments on emotional season for Ole Miss TE Caden Prieskorn
Lane Kiffin had some emotional comments when talking about tight end Caden Prieskorn.
The Memphis transfer has had to deal with a lot over the course of the season, and Kiffin had high praise for his tenacity throughout the year.
“Loses his father, something else that’s probably his decision to tell you that was really, really tragic that happened to him,” Kiffin said in his press conference after the Egg Bowl. “Besides going to the funeral, got right back to work, never missed a day, just kept working. He had injuries too, throughout the year. He wasn’t very healthy today, running out there and still found a way to play and he played every snap… Really cool story and sometimes where there are great stories of a guys that are doing things, this is good ole fashioned good story of a guy just being a team guy. He never complained. He transferred here and had big numbers where he was at before. I really do love him.”
Prieskorn was rewarded for all his hard work with his second touchdown of the season against Mississippi State. It came at a crucial time in the 4th quarter as Ole Miss was looking to increase its lead over the Bulldogs.
Prieskorn’s numbers don’t jump out on the stat sheet, but it’s clear the love Kiffin and Ole Miss have for him.
