Lane Kiffin stunned by Bryce Young's NIL earnings, jokes Alabama QB doesn't need to play vs. Rebels
On Tuesday, Alabama coach Nick Saban revealed that QB Bryce Young has already made almost a million dollars off of NIL deals.
Let’s just say that news caught Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin off-guard when he was asked a question about it during SEC Media Days in Hoover, Alabama, on Tuesday afternoon.
Kiffin said he was stunned by the news, but he’s excited for what it means for the freshman quarterback:
Lane Kiffin on Alabama QB Bryce Young's reported seven-figure NIL deals…
"Wow. That number just blew me away. You didn't prepare me for that. That's amazing. A million dollars and he hasn't started a game yet?… A million dollars — whew."

Then, in true Kiffin fashion, later in his interview, he went back to Young’s NIL money, joking that he doesn’t need to play against Ole Miss this year:
Lane Kiffin was asked a question about injuries but was distracted: "I'm still blown away by this Bryce Young (news). The guy's made a million dollars already? That's good, man. He doesn't need to play this year against us."

We’re guessing the Rebels won’t be that lucky, but perhaps several Rebels will have some thicker wallets by the time the Alabama game rolls around, too.
