The offseason momentum for Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss program continues to grow as the Rebels recently picked up a commitment from one of the state’s top prospects in the 2022 recruiting cycle.

Moss Point native Larry Simmons is committed to playing his college football in Oxford, which is great news for the continued growth of the Ole Miss Nasty Wideout (NWO) legacy.

The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Moss Point High School standout is rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 6 overall prospect from Mississippi and a top 50 overall receiver in the nation for the 2022 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

During his two most recent seasons at Moss Point, Simmons has racked up 93 catches for 1,882 yards and 19 touchdowns in addition to 312 rushing yards and six scores on the ground.

Simmons committed to Ole Miss over scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Mississippi State, Florida State, Miami and Oregon, among others.

He is just the second recruit to commit to Ole Miss in the 2022 recruiting cycle, joining George County’s Marquez Dortch.
