Lane Kiffin is always sharing high praise for Matt Corral. And for good reason. Ole Miss’ junior quarterback is currently among the top players in the country and is a front-runner for the Heisman Trophy.

However, Corral’s time with the Rebels won’t be lasting much longer. After this season, he’ll likely be heading to the NFL. His type of production may be difficult for Ole Miss to replace, too.

That’s why Bo Bounds, a radio host for ESPN 105.9 FM in Mississippi, believes Kiffin’s time at Ole Miss could potentially end if the right offer came along. With Corral and many other key players soon leaving the Rebels, maybe Kiffin will be, too?

“I think if Lane’s offered the LSU job — and I have no idea if he will be — then I would think he would have to take it,” Bounds said during an appearance on “The Matt McClearin Show” on WJOX 94.5 FM on Wednesday. “I mean, they’re losing Matt Corral, 17 starters. At Bama and Clemson and Ohio State, Georgia, I guess, a few other programs, you can usually reload pretty quick and so on and so on, right? I mean, even Bama’s not dominant this year. So 17 starters, losing Corral — all he talks about is how special Corral is.

“And I think he’s made a great play — I’m talking about Lane — in that he has really talked to the fan base the last 5 or 6 weeks and he has expressed and let them know, ‘Hey, this guy’s special, and don’t take this for granted. Because this type of player just doesn’t come along.’ I don’t care where, I mean, Bama, Ohio State, so on, because he’s by far better than anything that they have.”

For now, Kiffin and Corral will look to keep having success. The No. 10-ranked Rebels are going on the road to face No. 18 Auburn on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
