Chad Kelly is in a position to earn a role on an NFL roster this offseason as the Green Bay Packers are bringing in the former Ole Miss quarterback for a minicamp tryout.

Kelly last suited up in the NFL with the Colts after being drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 2017 NFL Draft. Some issues off the field resulted in the end of Kelly’s time in Denver but he has flashed potential during preseason appearances.

Now comes word from NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero that Kelly has landed an opportunity in Green Bay.

This news is all the more interesting considering that the Packers are currently working hard to smooth out a rocky relationship with star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.

That’s something the official Ole Miss Football Twitter account noted after news of Kelly’s tryout was reported.
