If you’re an avid SEC football fan, you’ll remember LSU’s iconic fake field goal against South Carolina from 2007, where the holder flipped the ball over his shoulder to the kicker, who ran for a touchdown.

On Saturday afternoon, the Ole Miss Rebels tried to bring that play back in a game against Auburn, but it did not go according to plan.

As you can see in the video below, the Ole Miss kicker didn’t get near the end zone. Instead, he was brought down for a 4 yard loss to give the ball back to Auburn:

Auburn couldn’t do anything with its new possession, though, so the score is still tied at 14-14 midway through the third quarter.

Ole Miss has the ball back and is driving once again, but don’t expect the Rebels to try that fake field goal again any time soon.
