Ole Miss added a major piece to its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon.

The Rebels landed a commitment from 4-star safety Keon Young. He chose Ole Miss over other top programs such as Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee and others.

Here’s his announcement:

Young is an exciting addition for Ole Miss in the class of 2025. He’s currently the No. 350 overall player and the No. 30 safety in the country for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Young is from Lakeland, Florida. He’s listed at 6-foot, 171 pounds.

Ole Miss is now up to 9 commits in the class of 2025. The group currently sits at No. 25 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings. The Rebels have so far done a nice job of continuing to build out their future high school recruiting classes while also putting a big emphasis on reaching new heights in 2024.

Looking ahead to this fall, Ole Miss will be hoping to make the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history. The Rebels are currently -125 (7th-best odds) to reach the CFP this season, according to the latest odds from FanDuel.
