Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss staff had a productive Thursday working the transfer portal. Hours after landing Tulane transfer Jadon Canady, the Rebels picked up another player from the portal.

Former UCF DB Justin Hodges is headed to Oxford to continue his college football career. He announced his transfer commitment Thursday evening on his Twitter account.

Originally from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Hodges is entering Year 4 of his college football career. He has 2 remaining full seasons of eligibility and an available redshirt if need be.

Hodges played in 29 games over 3 seasons with the Knights. In 2022, he played in 13 games, recording 39 tackles, including 3 TFL with 1 sack. Hodges logged 4 passes defended with 1 interception last season.

Hodges was dismissed from the UCF football team in January after an arrest on charges of home invasion robbery with a firearm and a mask. Per The Clarion Ledger, the state of Florida opted not to move forward with the case in May.
