Ole Miss received a commitment from a former Tulane player on Thursday. The news was announced on Twitter.

Jadon Canady played in seven games last season for Tulane before suffering season-ending knee injury. He had 14 tackles in those seven appearances.

Canady will be playing for Ole Miss in 2023 as he recovers from his past injury.

The best season of his college career so far came in 2021. Canady recorded 55 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 2 interceptions that season.

Canady committed to the Green Wave as a 3-star CB from the 2021 class. He received D1 offers that included the likes of Maryland, Utah State, UAB, Memphis, and FAU.

After not playing during the second half of the season for Tulane, Canady made the decision to move on from the Green Wave.

Some of the more recent transfer portal additions for Ole Miss include former Georgia Tech DL Akelo Stone, former Nebraska DL Stephon Wynn, and former James Madison DE Isaac Ukwu.

Canady should provide depth to an Ole Miss secondary that has lost Elijah Sabbitini and Markevious Brown to the transfer portal recently.

Ole Miss finished with an 8-5 record in 2022 and an appearance in the Texas Bowl.
