Ole Miss linebacker Mark Robinson was ejected for targeting against Louisville in Monday night’s Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.

Robinson was ejected late in the first quarter for his hit on Cardinals running back Hassan Hall. Robinson’s hit had no ill intent; however, he has to tackle with his head up. That’s unfortunately the “targeting” rule.

The call on the field was upheld, and Robinson will have to watch the remainder of the game from the sidelines.

Below is the hit by Robinson:

Ole Miss leads Louisville 9-0 after the first quarter. After the Rebels defensive unit was criticized for last year’s play, the defense has come out and played really well against Louisville’s offense so far.
