Eli Manning is set to return to Oxford on Saturday, where he’ll have his No. 10 jersey retired by Ole Miss.

Manning left the university as one of its most honored student-athletes as he carved out a rich legacy decades after his father, Archie, became a program legend. Of course, that success carried over to the NFL, where he won 2 Super Bowls with the New York Giants as he’ll certainly join older brother Peyton in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in a few years.

Not only will Manning’s jersey be retired, but the name “Manning” will be stitched into either end zone. And the next generation of the famous football family will be on hand as well: Arch Manning is set to take a recruiting visit as the Rebels take on LSU. The Rebels are well within the picture, but the Tigers might have some ground to make up if it’s to keep the New Orleans product within state borders – and that was before it was announced that Ed Orgeron would depart after the season.
