Ole Miss reveals jersey numbers for newcomers, including Jaxson Dart and Zach Evans

Ole Miss revealed several jersey numbers on Sunday, as freshman and transfers filled out the new roster.

The Rebels have upgraded their roster in a variety of ways this offseason, and now fans and media can pencil in an official update of the roster.

Lane Kiffin’s program added Southern Cal transfer quarterback Jaxson Dart, who will wear No. 2, along with TCU transfer running back Zach Evans, who will put on No. 6. USC transfer tight end Michael Trigg settled with No. 0 while LB Reginald Hughes, the team’s top incoming freshman, got No. 35.

In 2 years with the Horned Frogs, Evans put up 1,063 rushing yards and 9 touchdowns. He also had 18 catches for 206 yards and a score. Dart participated in 6 games for USC in 2021, and passed for 1,353 yards and 9 touchdowns.

Trigg made 7 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown as a true freshman last season.

Hughes was ranked as the No. 1 junior college linebacker and No. 10 overall prospect by 247Sports … Member of the ESPN JUCO50, checking in at No. 38. He was also ranked as the fourth-best JUCO player in Mississippi, according to 247Sports

The Rebels are set to open the season on Sept. 3rd against Troy in Vaught Hemingway Stadium.
