Ole Miss uses Donte Moncrief to narrate hype video ahead of 2024 Egg Bowl
Ole Miss is gearing up for another edition of the Egg Bowl, and the Rebels were ready with the hype video on Thanksgiving.
The Egg Bowl, the annual Ole Miss vs. Mississippi State rivalry showdown, has been played on Thanksgiving night many times during the rivalry’s history. But this year it is getting bumped to Black Friday and is sure to be another heated showdown between the two sides.
Instead of the Thursday night kickoff, the Rebels dropped their hype video, and it includes an awesome narration from former Ole Miss wide receiver Donte Moncrief:
“Some games just feel different. It’s when the weather gets cold, and blood boils hot,” Moncrief describes. “From the trash talk, to solid cowbells. It’s always been us vs. them. But one day a year decides bragging rights for the other 364.”
More than just a game

This year’s game is set for 3:30 pm ET on Black Friday with the broadcast on ABC. Ole Miss enters as a 26-point favorite per bet365, but anything can happen when we deal with in-state rivalries.
Ole Miss most recently registered a 17-7 win in Starkville a season ago, and Lane Kiffin has not had many issues in the rivalry. Kiffin is 3-1 in Egg Bowl games so far and will look to improve that mark on Friday.
