The Ole Miss Rebels only have to play four teams ranked in the Associated Press Preseason Top 25 this season, a light load considering they are one of eight SEC teams listed in the AP’s rankings.

The No. 18 Rebels are one of five SEC West teams in the rankings, along with No. 2 Alabama, No. 6 Auburn, No. 13 LSU and No. 21 Texas A&M. Those four teams are the Rebels’ lone ranked opponents on their 2014 schedule, although they do play all four teams in the span of five weeks.

Ole Miss will host the Crimson Tide on October 4 and will travel to College Station to play A&M on October 11. After a home date with Tennessee on October 18, the Rebels will travel to Baton Rouge to play LSU on October 25 and will host Auburn the following Saturday, November 1.

Those five weeks are set up to be a make-or-break stretch in Ole Miss’ schedule. The Rebels open their 2014 season on August 28 in Atlanta against Boise State.
