Report: Former Ole Miss G Blake Hinson chooses Big 12 transfer destination
Recently, the Ole Miss Rebels have had a couple of players enter the NCAA transfer portal, including 2-year starter Blake Hinson.
Hinson was potentially expected to be a big contributor this coming season, but instead, on Wednesday, it was reported that he was heading to the Big 12.
Per college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Hinson has chosen to transfer to Iowa State for his last 2 years of eligibility:

The past 2 seasons, Hinson has started 58 of the 60 games he’s appeared in. He has averaged 9.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest.
It is unclear if Iowa State will apply for a waiver to try to get Hinson eligible immediately or if he’ll have to sit out the 2020-21 season.
Kibbles don’t pay for bball.
Your post doesn’t make any sense. Kermit Davis makes $3 million per yer and Ole Miss has done huge facility upgrades over the last few years. I’d say that they spend quite a bit on basketball. Not nearly as much as Kentucky, but probably more than most SEC schools.
ole miss did not do much for the facility upgrade…..unless you consider black mailing the football season ticket holders
the basketball area was financed through the Capital Gift program…..if a person wanted to retain their FOOTBALL season tickets…they HAD to donate to the Capital Gift program…….this is something Pete Boone came up with …..who was the worst A D in ole miss history…..until bjork came along…of course the current administration puppet makes those two look good
They don’t pay the players.
I will do my best to go on……
Now this phony is claiming he is leaving because of the Mississippi state flag……
Uh, hello, you moron……that flag was state flag when you enrolled there……did you just now notice?
This is a hey , hey, look at me moment………I want my 15 too
SDS takes down my lost in 5-4-4-2-1
If you are talking about Hill, he was the ultimate team player until this crap came along. Now he has thrown his NFL future away; he will be seen as a problem like Kapernik. Why didn’t he go somewhere else or say something 3 years ago when he inked his NOI?
He most likely already lacked a future in Mississippi so it’s not like you’re saying very much…
Ain’t heard a WORD on the flag issue…
Actually I was referring to Hinson in oxford….but these thoughts are applicable to Hill as well..
I agree with you on his future…..or lack of
