Ole Miss bounced back from a loss to Alabama in a major way, topping LSU in a wild 55-49 affair at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. The Rebels trailed 49-40 in the 4th quarter before a Jaxson Dart touchdown with just over 5 minutes remaining, followed by a Tre Harris reception and 2-point conversion by Quinshon Judkins, gave them the win.

Afterwards, Rebels fans celebrated by storming the field. Now, due to the SEC’s competition guidelines, the university will be fined $100,000, the conference announced on Sunday.

It is Ole Miss’s 1st infraction of the academic year. A 2nd offense means a $250,000 fine, while a 3rd occurence and subsequent ones will cost $500,000. The fine will be donated to the SEC’s scholarship fund for post-academic scholarships.

Meanwhile, the Rebels turn their atention to a Week 5 contest against Arkansas as they look to improve to 5-1 and keep themselves in the picture for a New Year’s 6 bowl. Arkansas won last year’s game by a 42-27 count in Fayetteville.
