When Ole Miss coach Matt Luke was considering worst-case scenarios for Saturday’s game at Alabama, he probably didn’t think a 66-3 beatdown was even a possibility.

However, that’s exactly what happened, as the Crimson Tide dominated every aspect of the game, leading to the lopsided victory.

Still, QB Shea Patterson isn’t giving up on his team, saying in the video below that he expects his team to bounce back from this tough loss and be better for it:

“I think we’ll respond well,” Patterson said in the video. “Coming off a loss like that is going to hurt — it doesn’t feel good at all. I was talking to guys on the sideline, ‘Make sure you remember this one.’ We don’t want to feel like that ever again. With all of the stuff we’ve been through in the offseason, nothing can break us. I don’t care if we lost to Alabama by 60 points, we’re going to do everything we can to get ourselves better tomorrow and throughout the week and come ready at Auburn.”

Things don’t exactly get easier for the Rebels, as they travel to Auburn to take on the Tigers next weekend.

If Patterson and the offense doesn’t figure out how to have more success against an elite defense, another lopsided loss could be in their future.
