Tom Hart is heading to Oxford on Saturday to call Ole Miss’ game against Vanderbilt. The SEC Network broadcaster thinks the Rebels are getting a bit overlooked in the SEC West race.

Hart visited his ESPN colleagues Greg McElroy and Cole Cubelic on their WJOX morning show Tuesday. He shared his thoughts on how things might shake out in the SEC West. Alabama is currently the only team without a conference loss. Alabama handed Ole Miss its only loss of the season so far. The Rebels gave LSU their first conference loss and second defeat of the season.

“I was just looking at the number. Alabama’s got, according to our stats and info people, 73% chance to win it. LSU 25% and then Ole Miss is just kind of picking up the scraps,” Hart said on the show. “I’m curious and anxious to see Ole Miss again in person this weekend. They’re a really good team, obviously, already with a loss head-to-head against Alabama that hurts their chances.

“If you made me pick today, I think LSU beats Alabama when they match up. Is there another loss hanging out there for LSU? Could A&M surprise them? Could that defensive line create issues for Jayden Daniels at the end of the season? I guess you could make that argument.”

Hart feels ESPN Analytics should be giving Ole Miss more of a chance, but acknowledged the biggest reason why the computers view the Rebels as an unlikely division winner.

“But I think it’s much more equal than what the analytics tell you. I’d give Ole Miss at least a 10% chance because I think what they’re doing offensively, and that’s kind of the name of the game right now in that division… they can do damage,” Hart said.

“Unfortunately, they still have Georgia on the schedule, so that’s probably why that number is so low.”

Ole Miss plays Georgia on Nov. 11 in Athens.
