Lane Kiffin delivered a monumental win for Ole Miss in overtime at Kentucky on Saturday, and the first-year coach let out quite the celebration — a huge fist pump as he bumped into an assistant.

The first time he was introduced at Ole Miss, Kiffin said, “We didn’t come here to be good. That’s not why we’re here today. We came here to be great.”

The first step in that process may have taken place on Saturday as the Rebels took a 42-41 win. QB Matt Corral connected with Elijah Moore for a 3-yard touchdown. That came after Kentucky scored first in overtime, but missed an extra point, which gave the Rebels a chance to win it.

The Rebels won despite Kentucky rolling up 559 total yards, including 408 rushing yards as Kentucky had three different running backs go over 100 yards.

Jonathan Mingo had eight catches for 128 yards and two touchdowns, and Moore added 10 catches for 92 yards and a score to lead the Ole Miss offense. Corral himself had 320 passing yards and four touchdowns on 24-of-29 passing.

The Rebels will look to keep it going next week when they meet Alabama.
