Jaylen Miller and D’Andre Payne have left the program and will transfer, head coach Butch jones confirmed during the team’s first practice in Jacksonville for the 2015 TaxSlayer Bowl Monday.

Miller, a defensive end, played in 12 games during two seasons with the Vols. The sophomore has five career tackles, including four solo. Miller ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 30 strong-side defensive end for the 2013 recruiting class.

Payne, a cornerback, appeared in eight games as a true freshman. The Washington, D.C., native had four tackles, including two solo. Payne rated as a four-star prospect and was the No. 22 cornerback for the 2014 class.

Tennessee has lost several players this offseason, including Daniel Helm, Derrell Scott and Dewayne Hendrix.
