The Chuck Bednarik Award is given yearly to the top Defensive player in college football. Like most years, a player from the SEC has been named a finalist.

Alabama’s Will Anderson gets the nod this season, and it is not exactly a surprise. Anderson has not been Heisman level this year, but still one of the most dominant players in the conference. The other 2 nominees are Cincinnati’s Ivan Pace Jr. and USC’s Tuli Tuipulotu.

Georgia’s Jordan Davis won the award last season.

Anderson has totaled 51 tackles, 10 sacks, 1 interception and one pass deflection this year for the Crimson Tide.

Do you think Anderson deserves to win the award this season?
