Once bowl season and National Signing Day come to a close, the next chance for the SEC to flex its muscle as college football’s No. 1 conference is the NFL Draft.

The draft itself is isn’t until spring, but mock drafts are being constantly updated as the experts begin to review more prospect footage and assess NFL teams’ needs. The latest mock draft from CBS Sports features 10 SEC players being selected in the first round. Some of these players have not declared for the draft, but if the experts are right and they are likely first-round picks, you can expect to see them leaving early.

  • No. 2 (Oakland) – Alabama DT Quinnen Williams
  • No. 3 (New York Jets) – Kentucky edge rusher Josh Allen
  • No. 8 (New York Giants) – Alabama OT Jonah Williams
  • No. 16 (Washington) – LSU CB Greedy Williams
  • No. 17 (Philadelphia) – Florida OT Jawaan Taylor
  • No. 18 (Miami) – Florida edge rusher Jachai Polite
  • No. 23 (Oakland, from Dallas in Amari Cooper trade) – LSU LB Devin White
  • No. 24 (Seattle) – Ole Miss WR A.J. Brown
  • No. 28 (Houston) – Ole Miss OT Greg Little
  • No. 29 (Los Angeles Chargers) – Mississippi State DT Jeffery Simmons

The full mock, based on where teams would be right now (unlikely to be the same once the NFL playoffs are finished) is available here.
