Every team in the Southeastern Conference had its share (more than one) of big signees for signing day, 2016, but there’s always one recruit you can point to as a “home-run” for a specific program.

Here is a look at those prospects.

Alabama

Ben Davis, LB, five-star: He’s the top inside linebacker in the country and a legacy from 20 miles away. The Tide doesn’t have many “must-lands” but he is it.

Arkansas

Devwah Whaley, RB, four-star: Instant impact prospect at a huge position of need, plus great publicity for the program when he committed at the Under Armour All-America Game.

Auburn

Derrick Brown, DT, five-star: The top prospect in the state of Georgia and Auburn beat UGA, Bama and Tennessee.

Florida

Antonneous Clayton, DE, four-star: It doesn’t matter that he’s not a five-star, he’s got five-star ability and potential and will be one of the best pass rushers in the SEC in time.

Georgia

Jacob Eason, QB, five-star: Has the skill set to be a true freshman starter for the Bulldogs and one of the best signal callers in the SEC.

Kentucky

Landon Young, OT, four-star: Athletically he has the chance to be the best offensive tackle that the Wildcats have had in the modern era.

LSU

Rashard Lawrence, DT, five-star: Elite interior defensive linemen don’t grow on trees (though they seem to in Louisiana), so Lawrence was huge. He will make an early impact.

Mississippi State

Jeffery Simmons, DE, five-star: Surprise in-state signee is one of the best pass rushers/prospects at his position in the country.

Missouri

Natereace Strong, RB, four-star: The Tigers didn’t get much backfield production last year, and that was before Russell Hansbrough left. Strong, originally a member of the 2015 class, needed a year at JUCO to qualify academically, but should compete for a starting spot.

Ole Miss

Shea Patterson, QB, five-star: Patterson is the quarterback of the future and is extremely talented, the type of prospect the Rebels can continue to build around.

South Carolina

Brandon McIlwain, QB, four-star: Dual-threat, multi-sport athlete could be the key to the early years of the Will Muschamp era in Columbia.

Tennessee

Jonathan Kongo, DE, four-star: The nation’s top JUCO prospect has limitless upside and takes the Vols talent level on the defensive line from very good to excellent.

Texas A&M

Justin Madubuike, DE, four-star: Another needed elite defensive line prospects for the Aggies. He should play early in his career.

Vanderbilt

JoeJuan Williams, CB, four-star: Local (Hendersonville, Tenn.) corner has the size and athleticism to play on Sundays and the Dores held off several programs to hold on to him.
