Every recruiting class makes an impact — either positively or negatively — during its time in a college football program.

Some will make an instant, positive impact.

Here’s a look at the three 2016 recruiting class that are expected to make an overall impact on a program sooner rather than later.

1. FLORIDA

There perhaps isn’t a single recruiting class in the SEC that is expected to make as quick of an impact as the Gators. Florida enrolled 12 prospects early, including two quarterbacks (Feleipe Franks and Kyle Trask) and JUCO standouts at running back (Mark Thompson) and wide receiver (Dre Massey). When you take into account the talent coming in and the talent departing, it would be a big surprise if many of the players in this class — both in terms of those who enrolled early and those who will enroll this summer — did not see the field right away in Gainesville.

2. AUBURN

The Tigers continue to try to re-tool their personnel on defense, particularly on the defensive line, and Auburn has several prospects who are expected to contribute right away. Among the early enrollees, defensive linemen Paul James, Marlon Davidson and Antwuan Jackson should play sooner rather than later. A quarterback, John Franklin III, has arrived from junior college to contend for the starting job. The receivers, including early enrollee Kyle Davis and four-star Florida prospects Nate Craig-Myers and Eli Stove, should help right away, at least with depth. Also, look for five-star defensive tackle Derrick Brown, the top overall prospect in the ’16 cycle from the state of Georgia, to see the field early, even if it’s not as a starter. He’s just that good.

3. GEORGIA

The 2016 class will provide some of the depth that new head coach Kirby Smart wants to develop at UGA and could provide the starter at the most important position on the field. The Bulldogs landed the nation’s top quarterback, Jacob Eason, and top tight end Isaac Nauta, and both enrolled early. Eason could win the job this spring. Mecole Hardman Jr. adds another needed explosive athlete to the Bulldogs roster and could help at a number of spots. JUCO wide receiver Javon Wims is college-ready and fellow receiver Tyler Simmons, who UGA flipped from Alabama late, is one of the most under-valued prospects at his position in the class.
