The SEC has produced many NFL stars. It’s thought of as the best conference in college football for a reason, and that’s because the talent level is through the roof

As such, many former SEC players made an impact on Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season. Notably, several former SEC running backs made their presence known in Week 1.

Saquon Barkley and Jonathan Taylor are arguably the two best doing it right now not named Derrick Henry, and they’re doing a terrific job representing the Big Ten.

Former Georgia Bulldogs star D’Andre Swift was right behind them though with 144 yards for the Detroit Lions in Week 1. He averaged an incredible 9.6 yards per carry and found the end zone once.

Swift’s fellow Bulldog, Nick Chubb, played a big part in the Cleveland Browns’ 26-24 win over the Carolina Panthers. Chubb took 22 handoffs for 141 yards, averaging a healthy 6.4 yards per carry.

Last but not least was Leonard Fournette, who lit the college football world on fire with the LSU Tigers. Still one of the best in the game, Fournette rushed 21 times for 127 yards. He also caught 2 passes for 10 yards.

The SEC was clearly well represented.
