The 2021 season is just around the corner! And, that means we’re going to start seeing some of the nation’s best players in action once again.

But, who will win the prestigious Heisman Trophy this fall? If history tells us anything, the preseason favorites should be avoided, as they rarely win.

Still, it’s fun to rank the best candidates to win the award. NFL.com’s Chase Goodbread did that recently, and he had 3 SEC quarterbacks in his top 10:

  • No. 3 — JT Daniels, QB, Georgia
  • No. 8 — Matt Corral, QB, Ole Miss
  • No. 9 — Bryce Young, QB, Alabama

The SEC has won the last 2 Heismans, with Alabama WR DeVonta Smith taking home the award in 2020 and LSU QB Joe Burrow winning in 2019.

Will the league make it 3 in a row this fall?
