The COVID-19 pandemic brought the 2020 college basketball postseason to a screeching halt, but as of right now, teams are starting to gather again ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Though there are still some questions that need to be answered regarding players’ NBA Draft decisions, we’re starting to get an idea of what teams will look like this coming season.

This week, 247Sports reporter Kevin Flaherty put together a way-too-early top-25 ranking, and as you can see below, 4 SEC squads made the cut:

  • No. 10 — Tennessee
  • No. 17 — Kentucky
  • No. 19 — Arkansas
  • No. 21 — LSU

Alabama and Florida were mentioned as teams to watch, as well. Both Tennessee and Kentucky are bringing in elite recruiting classes, so we’ll see how quickly those freshmen can start making an impact.
