Based on his current top five list, there’s an outstanding chance Georgia native Warren McClendon winds up playing his college football in the SEC.
A native of Brunswick, Ga., McClendon is currently rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 25 offensive tackle and the No. 248 overall prospect in the nation for the 2019 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He holds scholarship offers from Alabama, LSU, Clemson, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, and Ohio State among others.
Despite a hefty offer sheet, McClendon has narrowed his options down to Auburn, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. He made this announcement on social media on Wednesday:
