Sixteen different college football programs have been ranked No. 1 since 2000 including seven current SEC teams.

Under the direction of quarterback Chase Daniel, Mizzou climbed to the top in 2007 while it was a Big XII team after a late-November win over second-ranked Kansas.

Three SEC teams — Kentucky, South Carolina and Vanderbilt — have never held the top spot.
