Following a wild Week 6 of college football action that saw several top teams go down and several top teams earn blowout victories, ESPN has updated its Football Power Index.

Surprisingly, despite a road win over Arkansas on Saturday night, Alabama doesn’t find itself in the top spot. That honor goes to a Michigan team that dismantled Rutgers 78-0.

Overall, seven SEC squads made the top 20 of the rankings:

  1. Michigan
  2. Alabama
  3. Clemson
  4. Louisville
  5. Ohio State
  6. Washington
  7. Texas A&M
  8. Florida State
  9. LSU
  10. Auburn
  11. Ole Miss
  12. Tennessee
  13. Oklahoma
  14. Miami (Fla.)
  15. Wisconsin
  16. Houston
  17. Florida
  18. UCLA
  19. Boise State
  20. Baylor

Interestingly, Arkansas, checking in at No. 39 in the rankings, has the No. 1 overall remaining strength of schedule, despite having lost to Alabama on Saturday.

The Hogs still have games against Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida and LSU remaining on their schedule.
