This year’s iteration is essentially a SEC West divisional championship game. Alabama is undefeated and the consensus no. 1 each week in the AP Top 25. LSU has overachieved expectations in 2018 and likely has the best resume in the country of all the college football playoff contenders. Wins over Miami, Auburn and Georgia have vaulted LSU into the top 5 of rankings and likely a spot in the top 4 of Tuesday’s college football playoff rankings.
Alabama vs. LSU will take place at 8:00 p.m. eastern at Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge. The game will be televised on CBS.
The Vegas line for Alabama vs. LSU opened up with Alabama as 14-point favorite. In some places, the line is down to 13.5 meaning some money has poured in on the LSU side. The fact that Alabama is a two touchdown favorite on the road at Tiger Stadium against a strong LSU team shows you the perception out there regarding the Crimson Tide.
