Jameson Williams added a dynamic to the Alabama offense that is difficult to replicate. Wan’dale Robinson gave Kentucky a versatile playmaker it hasn’t had in years. Derion Kendrick gave Georgia a much-needed veteran presence in the defensive secondary.
All of those players, and 4 others from the SEC made the 247Sports All-Transfer team for their impact out of the transfer portal in 2021. As 247Sports noted, “Among many stars, it features a prolific QB, the second-leading rusher in college football, a vital receiver for a Playoff team and a host of fearsome defenders.”

Williams, who left a deep wide receiver room at Ohio State, is a valuable piece of Alabama’s offense, and as the story noted, “Where would the Tide be without him, especially as running mate John Metchie misses the Playoff run with a knee injury?”
For Robinson, “He transferred from Nebraska and quickly became one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the country at Kentucky.”
Alabama’s Henry To’o To’o had a solid year coming over from Tennessee, while Ole Miss’ Chance Campbell had a big year after moving from Maryland, as he led the Rebels with 99 tackles.
Meanwhile, John Ridgeway of Arkansas, a transfer from FCS Illinois State, earned an invite to the Senior Bowl. Kentucky’s Dare Rosenthal, the LSU transfer, helped protect Will Levis, and has NFL physical qualities and ability.
Even 2 former SEC players made the team, both now at Florida State. Jermaine Johnson moved from Georgia, and Jammie Robinson came over from South Carolina.
