Every week is fashion week in college football.

Week 6 provided another glimpse at new uniforms and modified ones. Some worked. Some didn’t. And some made you want to shield your eyes.

Here’s a look at the good, the bland and the downright ugly from Week 6.

The Good

Pitt

Is that Pitt? Because at first glance I assumed it was an alternate combo for UCLA. It’s so far off the norm of the primary Pitt colors, which is what makes it awesome.

Rutgers

The same can be said about Rutgers’ uniform combination. The black helmets look cool and the jerseys are something different than the classic Scarlet Knights threads.

Oregon State

This jersey design is very modern. Plus the helmet has a unique look to it. The orange and black combo looks amazing and the Beavers did it right.

Wake Forest

That helmet. It just looks so clean. When you think of Wake Forest you usually associate it with Tim Duncan, Chris Paul, basketball. But these helmets are show that the school is putting some effort into its football program as well.

Syracuse

Syracuse has been hit or miss this year. The Orange have had some pretty bad combos, but this isn’t one of them. The orange helmet and striped numbers make for an amazing uniform combo.

Kentucky

The Kentucky white helmets look awesome, especially with the checkerboard blue jersey. Kentucky managed to survive its game against Vanderbilt and looked good doing so.

USF

Another great gold helmet. The Bulls’ uniform combo is very Notre Dame-esque, but with a modern feel to it.

The Bland

TCU

All white, all boring. There’s not much to these, which is surprising given how unique TCU’s unis have been this year.

Georgia Tech

Also very bland. In most cases, the all-white combo is pretty boring. This is no exception.

The Ugly

This is perhaps the most shocking inclusion. Usually, Oregon has a guaranteed spot in the “good” section, but everyone makes mistakes. Even the University of Nike is capable of a few bad decisions.
