Amari Daniels is heading to the SEC next year. But there are still two conference schools battling to land the 3-star running back from Miami.

On Monday, Daniels announced on Twitter that he will be deciding between Texas A&M and Georgia, and according to Andrew Ivins of 247Sports.com, Daniels will be making that choice later this week. Miami had been in the running, but the Hurricanes are no longer an option following Daniels’ latest announcement.

Daniels is the No. 6 all-purpose back in the 2021 class, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s the No. 352 overall recruit and the No. 52 from Florida, and he currently attends Miami Central High School.

Daniels has taken visits to both Texas A&M and Georgia in the past, and he’ll soon be committing to one of those schools. He has the most history with Aggies head coach Jimbo Fisher, so it will be interesting to see if that impacts his decision.

“He has been on me since I met him in seventh or eight grade,” Daniels told Ivins. “My first offer was from UM, but the first coach I ever talked to was Coach Jimbo in seventh grade. So, I got a good relationship with A&M.”
