Analytics expert projects Week 2 outcomes for eight SEC matchups

With one college football weekend in the books, each SEC team now has at least one game worth of data points to analyze and project moving forward. As we speed into the second weekend of the season, the SEC’s slate is chock-full of cupcake games and FCS opponents. Based on what we’ve seen so far, the analytics community now has an extra data point to pull from.

So how does analytics expert Brian Fremeau project the weekend ahead?

Without diving deep into the games against FCS competition, here is how Fremeau’s site, BCF Toys, projects the remaining SEC contests going in Week 2:

Alabama is projected to beat Western Kentucky by a score of 43-11. The Tide have a win likelihood of .985 (99%)

TCU is projected to beat Arkansas by a score of 31-30. The Razorbacks have a win likelihood of .488 (49%)

Auburn is projected to beat Arkansas State by a score of 37-17. The Tigers have a win likelihood of .906 (91%)

Florida is projected to beat Kentucky by a score of 31-12. The Gators have a win likelihood of .887 (89%)

Mississippi State is projected to beat South Carolina by a score of 32-20. The Bulldogs have a win likelihood of .795 (80%)

Missouri is projected to beat Eastern Michigan by a score of 41-8. The Tigers have a win likelihood of .988 (99%)

Tennessee is projected to beat Virginia Tech by a score of 29-10. The Volunteers have a win likelihood of .725 (73%)

Vanderbilt is projected to beat MTSU by a score of 21-18. The Commodores have a win likelihood of .572 (57%)
