AP Top 25 voter reveals preseason top 5
The Preaseason AP Top 25 will be revealed on Monday, August 12, but already, Garland Gillen, FOX 8 sports managing editor and reporter (New Orleans, La.), has revealed his top five.
SEC haters don’t look!
Gillen lists three SEC teams in his top five — Alabama (2), Georgia (3) and LSU (5). The defending national champions Clemson Tigers topped his rankings at No. 1. Oklahoma (No. 4) was the other team ranked in his top five.
The sports reporter sent out a tweet with his top five ranking:
Fired up to be voting in the AP college football poll for the 10th time. Preseason poll comes out Monday, August 12th. My top 5 will be:

2) Alabama
3) Georgia
4) Oklahoma

When looking at other preseason top 25 rankings, LSU is, of course, the odd ball in Gillen’s top five; however, most have LSU anywhere from 6 to 10.
Michigan wasn’t mentioned in his top five, but the Wolverines are getting lots of national preseason love. Several project UM to win the Big Ten and make the College Football Playoff. Noted college football guru Phil Steele ranks Michigan at No. 3 entering 2019.
