After delaying his commitment a bit, kicker Blake Mazza has announced his intentions to play for the University of Arkansas.

The 5-foot-9, 173-pound prospect out of Plano, Tx., announced his decision with a heartfelt message on Twitter Tuesday morning.

Though Mazza is not ranked by any of the major recruiting services, his talents were impressive enough to garner a scholarship offer from Army. Mazza ultimately decided to join the Razorbacks over Utah. The multi-tooled special teamer served as not only Plano’s kicker but also their punter and kickoff specialist. Though this role is uncommon on the next level, it could certainly help him find playing time in Fayetteville.

He was 6-for-9 on field goals and 26-for-27 on extra points last season. Here’s Mazza’s profile, per specialist website Kohls Kicking:

Mazza has attended many different Kohl’s events and the most recent was the National Scholarship Camp in July of 2016. We have seen him hit a 65 yard FG to win a FG competition at our Texas Showcase in May of 2016 and do many other impressive things over his career with Kohl’s. His FG are good enough to play at a Power 5 school. I hope someone sees the potential in his swing and smooth kicking motion. Mazza can make kicks!
