Auburn has officially made the move many have been expecting all season.

The Tigers revealed on Monday that they were parting ways with head coach Bryan Harsin after a tumultuous tenure on The Plains that lasted less than 2 seasons.

The news was revealed in a release, indicating the school would immediately start a search for a new head coach:

This comes shortly after reports broke that Mississippi State AD John Cohen had accepted the same position at Auburn, so it’s clear Cohen has wasted no time with his first big move.

Harsin was reportedly in danger of losing his job this past offseason, but was kept on board for the start of 2022. Now that the Tigers are 3-5 on the year, a move has been made.

Harsin finishes his Auburn tenure with an overall record of 9-12.
