The bickering between Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh and Paul Finebaum continues, with no end in sight. The latest round comes via Harbaugh, who gave a recent interview to Tim Kawakami of the Mercury News.

The interview was recorded and was made into a podcast, the full interview can be found at the bottom of this page.

During the interview, Harbaugh was asked about his recent “Pete” Finebaum tweet and if the SEC Network radio personality truly gets under his skin.

“You try to take it with a grain of salt, as they say, and put some humor into it,” Harbaugh said.

“The annoying part is the people that show their true colors and try to impugn your integrity where you’ve done nothing wrong. They want to impugn your integrity. They want to see (you) fail, and they want to take shots at you. But as they say, no good deed goes unpunished, and you’re doing a good deed. You’re hiring somebody and then where do they go from there? Right to impugning your integrity by calling you a cheater.

“But come on man, I’m not going to just let that go.”

Finebaum played that segment of the interview during his show Thursday and didn’t hold back from thoroughly mocking Harbaugh for his “good deed” that initially drew the radio host’s attention — If you are unfamiliar with the backstory, Finebaum said it was wrong of Harbaugh to hire a coach to his Michigan staff that had a son listed as one of the premier 2019 prospects in the nation.

During his Thursday program, Finebaum pointed out that it’s not exactly charity to give a coach a job when his son is arguably the top quarterback prospect in the nation for the 2019 recruiting cycle.

Harbaugh also went on to talk about his ongoing feud with the SEC and claims he’s never the aggressor in any of his disagreements with the league or its coaches. You can listen to Harbaugh’s full 33-minute interview below.
